The Stoeger Condor is an over & under shotgun that is nicely balanced, quick handling and has the stylish lines of guns that cost three times as much or more. Condors as economically priced shotguns that include a beautiful walnut stock with a satin finish. It has a single trigger for both barrels. In addition, the Stoeger Condor has a vent rib barrel with a brass bead front sight and two choke tubes.
Equally at home on in the field, skeet or trap range, the Condor’s receiver locks up by using tapered cones that engage recesses machined into the monobloc. This provides a solid and safe lock-up every time and allows the gun to be opened and closed smoothly and easily. The block is jeweled, which should give the Condor higher longevity, and is certainly more pleasant to look at than a simple blued block. The extractor is a simple one piece mechanism that will push both shells out far enough to make pulling them out easy.
While initial looks can be deceiving, the Stoeger Condor is well finished (both in terms of bluing and wood-to-metal fit), accurately machined, has a tight action and a crisp trigger. The Condor is very capable of light use on clays fields, but will not hold up to extensive shooting. If you are looking for a gun to put 10,000 rounds per year through, this isn’t it. Then again, you probably couldn't find a new over & under shotgun for under $1,000 that will. The Stoeger Condor is a well built, economical shotgun that is engineered for field use. Under standard hunting conditions, this shotgun should be expected to offer a lifetime of reliable service and use.
