The Ruger Precision Rimfire platform features a molded, one-piece chassis and adjustable buttstock assembly constructed from glass-filled nylon for exceptional strength, rigidity, and stability -- delivering a solid foundation for consistent accuracy shot after shot.
The adjustable buttstock includes a flat Picatinny bag rider for easy rear monopod attachment, a molded-in tether window for squeeze bags, and an integrated metal QD pocket for secure sling mounting. The Quick-Fit Precision Rimfire stock system allows fast, tool-adjustable length of pull and comb height customization to accommodate a wide range of shooters, gear, and shooting positions. Molded indexing marks make it easy to return to previous settings.
Designed for competition versatility, the Big-Gun bolt throw adjustment enables seamless conversion from a rimfire 1.5" bolt throw to a short-action centerfire 3" bolt throw, helping reduce short-stroking under match conditions.
The Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger provides an externally adjustable pull weight ranging from 2.25 to 5 pounds, with the adjustment tool conveniently stored in the buttstock.
An AR-pattern pistol grip and 45° reversible safety selector enhance ergonomics and control while remaining compatible with most aftermarket AR-style grips and selectors. A factory-installed anodized 0 MOA Picatinny scope base provides a stable mounting platform for optics and simplified zeroing.
Additional performance features include an oversized bolt handle for positive cycling, a 15" black hard-coat anodized aluminum free-float handguard with Magpul® M-LOK® slots on all four sides, and improved scope clearance for long-range optics and accessory mounting.
The cold hammer-forged target barrel, machined from 1137 alloy steel, delivers ultra-precise rifling for enhanced accuracy and long-term durability. The barrel is user-serviceable by a qualified gunsmith using AR-style tools and headspace gauges, and includes a 1/2"-28 threaded muzzle with a factory-installed thread protector.
This platform is compatible with Ruger® magnum rimfire magazines, including the JMX-1 rotary magazine and BX-15® Magnum magazines. One 9-round JMX-1 rotary magazine is included.
